Luke Haines attacks Radiohead, Blur, Oasis
Author: adminAuthors and former Black Box Recorder man Luke Haines has launched a series of scathing attacks on some of the biggest stars of Britpop, including Oasis, Radiohead and Blur. The accounts are published in Haines’ new autobiography, entitled “Bad Vibes: Britpop and my part in his downfall.” Despite admitting that Noel Gallagher once congratulated on the quality of his own songs, Oasis Haines dismisses as “mindless northern bluff in the book, reports The Times. Blur, which Haines labels usual bandwagon jumpers, “is summed up by the singer-songwriter as a master of the complicity of the media.” However, Haines is more bitter about Radiohead, whom he calls “the most heinous of creatures, a heavy rock costume, fright-wig and all.” The book also throw in Haines Nirvana Kurt Cobain for Britpop inadvertently, from committing suicide. “Without the abrupt end to Nirvana, there was no battle for Number One entertainment between Blur and Oasis,” he says.
